Tai Chi and Injury Prevention

Learn your body, control your body, live healthy

One of the things I'm passionate about is ergonomics, efficiency of movement, and injury rehab/prevention. I haven't found anything more effective at teaching these skills than through Tai Chi. Whether or not you wish to practice Tai Chi, the skills learned from it can be of benefit to you:

  • how to walk/run correctly without damaging joints
  • how to breathe efficiently
  • how to align your bones to avoid injury under stress (i.e. lifting something heavy)
  • which ranges of motion are healthy, which are not
  • how to concentrate on minute details for long periods of time
  • how to use skeletal alignment to maximize power output
  • how to align your spine to prevent headaches, poor posture, etc.
